As the consequences of climate change have exceeded the limits of adaptation, damage and loss entail, which many communities in developing countries have to live with. However, due to the lack of information and coverage, the negative repercussions in the daily lives of these people remain invisible in decision-making spaces.
Thus, with the P51 App, participants can collect and record data that will help to demonstrate and modify the responses of various sectors such as planning, risk management and political spaces in the face of climate change. These reports that are shared with the La Ruta del Clima team will be used to generate documents and research around the urgency on addressing damage and loss. Especially the users who are part of the affected communities and experience the damages of climate change on a daily basis contribute through the P51 Citizen Science tool to the process of defining actions and repairs.
