#ECSA2016 and a new SPOTTERON project

Throwback Thursday for #ECSA2016,
and there are new projects in SPOTTERON!

A while has passed since the European Citizen Science Conference 2016 in Berlin, Germany, and we still like to thank you for your ongoing interest in SPOTTERON - the Citizen Science System. And there are new things on the horizon.

new project
PUBLIC BOARDS

Almost untouched by the digital age, bulletin boards and public notes are still hubs for communication. In this upcoming Citizen Science project, school classes and Citizen Scientists will spot, collect and classify data about the postings and leaflets and their contents on their smartphones.

We like to say welcome to the University of Gothenburg and Vetenskap & Allmänhet (Public & Science) from Sweden to the SPOTTERON partner network.

new feature
SPOT INVENTORY

As an extension to the existing spot update functionality, spots are going to have visual "inventories", containing other submissions on the same location. Since in SPOTTERON means working together, this new feature will also be available for all Citizen Science projects in the SPOTTERON network.
